About Save Our Relief

A Consumer Voice for Responsible Hemp Policy

Save Our Relief is a privately funded, non-partisan consumer advocacy and public-information initiative focused on federal hemp policy and the implementation of Section 781.

The effort began in response to broad federal hemp-definition changes enacted in 2025. In September 2026, Congress and the President created a 29-day temporary limitation on most of those changes, making December 11 the next major implementation date.

Save Our Relief gathers, verifies, organizes and disseminates information about these developments to consumers, journalists and policymakers while supporting responsible regulation that protects children and preserves lawful adult access.

What We Believe

Protecting minors and preserving responsible adult access are not competing goals.

We support strong, practical consumer protections, including:

  • Strict 21+ access for intoxicating hemp products
  • Accurate labeling and standardized laboratory testing
  • Adult-oriented packaging that does not imitate children’s candy or use youth-focused imagery
  • Meaningful penalties for companies that target minors or sell unsafe products
  • Sensible serving and package standards based on science and real-world use

We do not believe a near-zero per-container restriction is thoughtful regulation. It is a blanket approach that eliminates responsible products along with the bad actors.

What We Do

Save Our Relief provides public educational materials, congressional tracking, constituent communication tools, source-backed media materials, policy briefings and public-records research concerning federal hemp regulation and implementation.

How We Track Legislation

Save Our Relief monitors federal legislative proposals that would establish rules for hemp-derived consumer products after the December 11 transition date, including H.R. 7024, S. 3686, H.R. 7212, and H.R. 9830.

These proposals take different approaches and remain subject to change through the legislative process. Save Our Relief tracks them so consumers can see the options Congress is considering.

This information is reviewed against official congressional records and updated periodically, with corrections made sooner when appropriate.
