About Save Our Relief

Save Our Relief is a privately funded, non-partisan consumer advocacy initiative created in response to the federal hemp policy scheduled to take effect on November 12, 2026.

The new federal definition imposes a near-zero limit of 0.4 milligrams of total THC across an entire finished container—not each serving. That restriction threatens responsible adult access to many standard full-spectrum CBD products and clearly labeled, measured-dose hemp-derived products.

Save Our Relief exists to help consumers understand what is happening, see whether their lawmakers have taken action, and make their voices heard.

What We Believe

Protecting minors and preserving responsible adult access are not competing goals.

We support strong, practical consumer protections, including:

• Strict 21+ access for intoxicating hemp products
• Accurate labeling and standardized laboratory testing
• Adult-oriented packaging that does not imitate children’s candy or use youth-focused imagery
• Meaningful penalties for companies that target minors or sell unsafe products
• Sensible serving and package standards based on science and real-world use

We do not believe a near-zero per-container restriction is thoughtful regulation. It is a blanket approach that eliminates responsible products along with the bad actors.

What We Do

Save Our Relief provides:

• Clear educational information about the November 12 hemp compliance cliff
• A congressional scorecard based on official Congress.gov sponsor and co-sponsor records
• A constituent action tool that helps consumers contact their House representative and senators
• Social and educational content highlighting the real-world impact on seniors, veterans, caregivers, workers, parents, farmers, small businesses, and other responsible adults

How the Scorecard Works

A lawmaker is identified as a Champion for Consumer Choice when Congress.gov officially lists that member as a sponsor or co-sponsor of H.R. 7024 or S. 3686.

A lawmaker shown as Action Still Needed is not currently listed as a sponsor or co-sponsor. That designation does not claim the lawmaker supports the ban or has taken a public position against the bills.

The scorecard is reviewed against official congressional records and updated weekly, with corrections made sooner when appropriate.

Independence and Privacy

Save Our Relief does not sell products or recommend specific brands.

Information submitted through the campaign is used for advocacy, constituent communication, campaign administration, and optional Save Our Relief updates when a participant expressly chooses to receive them.

Advocacy information is not used for unrelated commercial product marketing.

Save Our Relief welcomes consumers, farmers, small businesses, manufacturers, associations, and other affected organizations that support responsible regulation and continued adult access.
